The QA1 Level 1 Handling Kit is ideal for owners of 1982-1992 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird (F-body) vehicles seeking improved ride quality and handling. Optimized for both street driving and occasional track use, the kit lowers the vehicle for a more aggressive stance. Requiring no major modifications, this is a simple-to-install bolt-in upgrade for your 3rd Gen.
QA1 single adjustable shocks and struts give you the control to fine-tune your 3rd gen Camaro or Firebird for both the street and the track. These user-friendly shocks allow for quick adjustments with a simple dial, enabling you to soften or stiffen your ride and improve handling.
Third-generation F-Bodies are known for having a weak and flexible steering box area. Installing a QA1 Wonder Bar stiffens the front frame, reducing stress on this weak point. This translates to improved steering response, with benefits like sharper handling, improved cornering, and overall better vehicle performance.
QA1’s adjustable torque arm can help optimize weight transfer during acceleration and braking for better stability and performance, particularly in high-speed driving or competitive racing scenarios. The tubular torque arm and included polyurethane torque arm mount are built to take more power than stock, with the added benefit of adjustability to tune your pinion angle to optimize operating angles for better power delivery. Additionally, trailing arm relocation brackets allow you to move the vehicle’s instant center to the desired point and correct trailing arm angle on a lowered car to minimize roll steer for better grip and handling.
With coilover shocks and struts, you can lower your ride height up to 2 inches for a better stance and achieve a more desirable center of gravity for cornering; an adjustable Panhard Bar corrects axle placement in the chassis, which is especially beneficial on lowered cars and/or those with wider than stock tires.
With an adjustable torque arm, you can fine-tune your pinion angle to save wear and tear on your U-joints and help maximize your traction off the line. The adjustable rear lower trailing arms also allow you to adjust your wheelbase to center up the wheel and tire in the fenders.
QA1’s commitment to thoughtful product design is evident in every fully bolt-in kit we produce, which guarantees a hassle-free installation process.
